Welcome to the first rendition of #SillySongSunday!

I grew up singing all sorts of silly songs, many taught to me by my grandmother. I know there are a gazillion children’s songs these days, but I haven’t heard these classic songs in the mainstream… So I figured I’d share some of these new silly songs.

This first one is pure silliness. It was a fun song to teach all of my friends while growing up. One memory in particular was teaching it to a friend while we were swimming in Lake Erie. Talk about hours of entertainment.

Does eat oats,
Little lambs eat ivy.
A kid’ll eat ivy too,
